      4. Check trap frequently. When indicator points to "Mouse Caught," use grab tab to dispose of entire trap.

    • DETECTION TIPS
Seeing a mouse or seeing droppings is the #1 sign you have a rodent issue.
      Other signs of rodent activity:
Destruction to food or property (particularly gnaw marks)
      Erratic pet behavior
Oily 'rub' marks on baseboards and walls

    • If mouse is not caught in 2-3 days, place trap in alternate location where mouse activity is suspected.

    • Place two Kill & Contain® Mouse Traps 5-10 feet apart near mouse activity. When placing traps, target areas with high mouse activity: near refrigerators, stoves, and pantries, between washers and dryers and along baseboards.

    • This trap is intended for single use only.

I'm an Elder at my church where we serve over 2000 people a month for our food pantrys. We started seeing mice droppings around the church. Nobody could catch the critter. I set two of these units around, easy to set up, no mess or hard directions. We caught the mouse with Tomcat! All self contained just throw it away! Open the Bait Door, bait & close. To set the trap just push down on the side arm to the Set position. Your ready to go.

Frequently check the trap. If the trap is in "Mouse Caught" setting you got a mouse.

As easy as 1-2-3. Bait-Set-Dispose. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

This is so awesome, i know i have a little mouse or something in my garage and laundry room and this is perfect for these places. Wonderful idea for a trap that is disposable and my girlish ways will not have to touch or see anything. I love this product, As i walked to get the scissors i realized it has an easy open flap to pull and as easy as that its open, pull traps out, bait with peanut butter or bait and set and wait. Im telling everyone about these. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

Simple to use. I actually got this for my girl friend to use. She likes to use the bagged poison pellets because she doesn't like to deal with a dead mouse. I prefer to know that I got rid of the problem. This is a great compromise. Easy to bait by using the back door and then just swing the handle to set the trap. When you catch a mouse it is indicated by the handle on the side. Just throw it a way and you never even see the mouse. Sorry Mickey! (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

Package makes it easy to take the traps out for use. Trap is very easy to use.....setting is very easy with a "one touch" method and supplying the bait from the back of the trap is also easy to do. I like the 2 indicators that show either a mouse has been caught or that the trap was accidentally tripped. I did catch a mouse and the unit was then disposed of. Like this so much better than the old wood/spring trap.....The Tomcat Trap is much easier to use !!! (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

After 7 days of this unit still in SET position, I decided to check the bait. Sure enough, it was gone and no mouse to be seen dead or alive. The design seems solid but something caused it to not activate. I'm still waiting to catch something. My biggest problem is with voles and I don't know if the product is designed for them. But the convenience of the product is unbeatable. I have a dog and the last thing I want is her getting into dangerous chemicals or poisons out in the open. I simply check the box once a day and that's it. The dog sniffed at the box once out of curiosity, but leaves it alone. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

I love the Tomcat Kill & Contain Mouse trap! It is a one time use trap, so if you have tons of mice, this may get a little expensive to use. I only get the "occasional" mouse in my shed or garage, so I can set these with ease after putting peanut butter in as bait. The trap can go in small spaces and I don't have to worry about the grandkids finding it and having it snap on their fingers or hands. The best perk is you don't have to look at the mouse after it is caught. The trap will tell you when the mouse is caught and you simply throw the whole thing out! My younger daughter has a separate garage. She does not want a mouse chewing under her car hood or anywhere else that hungry mice do destruction. She has a soft heart and cannot bear to see the condition of a deceased "mousy"--nor convince someone to remove the rodent from the trap. She learned the hazards of mice in a garage from one of her cousins. Her cousin gave her heads up to prevent car damage by doing such a simple thing as to set a couple Tomcat Kill and Contain Mousetraps! (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

I found that one of the two traps was defective. I could not get it to set. It continued to snap back and I had to toss it in the trash. The second one is set but since I have not seen any mice just yet I will wait to see how it does as time goes on. Also the bait portion if this trap is so small it made a bit of a mess trying to set the bait, not sure I like that. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

I definitely had high hopes that this product would work but unfortunately it didn't. To start off, the package came with two traps in it but only one set properly. It took about 5 tries before I could get the latch to lock down on the second one. I set it with peanut butter and waited and waited and waited for the little critter to be caught. When I noticed finally that the mechanism had tripped , much to my dismay the bait was gone but so was the critter. Set them again and the same thing happened. I would not purchase these traps. I don't think the quality is good, they don't work properly and they are not worth the money. You also have to dispose of the entire trap after the critter is caught making them expensive to purchase if you have a lot of mice to catch. They are fairly easy to use and the directions are good but that's the only pluses I could give them. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

This is a great product when you are faced with areas that are narrow and will not fit a round spin type trap or trying to place a spring trap could be precarious to your fingers. It is also effective against rodents other than mice. We had a chipmunk in our garage doing all kinds of damage but his travel alleys were in places other traps would not fit. This fit and was effective. Rodents love peanut butter and the removable bait cup is brilliant for this bait. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

I have never seen the Tomcat kill and contain mouse trap before. We usually just get the wood old fashioned kind that's nasty & messy & kids & pets are interested in -yuck. I buy ahead so I'll be ready . Since we're in a new neighborhood that was just recently woods , I figure we'll have mice visit us this year.
Tomcat kill and contain mouse trap looks very easy to use with few directions. It's easy to set and the same lever registers "mouse caught" when it's time to throw away. No one plays with it and no adult gets grossed out by emptying it.
We haven't caught a mouse yet but we're ready and not dreading it like usual. (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

Great Idea! Unfortunately the last year I have experienced a few unwanted mice around my house. I have used the conventional snap traps and the flat sticky traps. These traps all work, but one doesn't really like looking at the results of 'capturing' your unwanted friend. This Tomcat kill & contain mouse trap is a great way to get the job done without anyone having to look at the disgusting result. The mouse goes into the trap and never comes out. Just take the white container and dispose of the mouse and trap, without the chance of touching any of the remains. Mouse disposal without the Mess ! These Mouse traps operate the same way that professional exterminators spring traps do, just in a smaller package.

Simply press the leaver down and set the trap along a wall
or in a corner - mice prefer to travel on highways close to walls.

Mice are very curious and are easily caught by this trap when placed
correctly Rember toplace the traps as outlined above, use about 4 per room. If you find dropping anywhere up higher - like
on top of a table, do not waste your traps - use the floor up close to walls and corners and you should have great results.

These traps are no fuss no muss and can be used again.

I am a state licensed Exterminator and have so large commercial food processingbuildings that have 350 mouse traps that operate the same way as the Tomkat and they work great! (Reviewer received free product) (Posted over a month ago)

Great product because you're not handling one of those old 'yucky' spring-loaded mouse traps.
This is a great design for a mousetrap, as the offender is attracted inside and then WHAM.
I found that peanut butter as an attractant works especially well, and it is so very convenient to open a small door on the outside end of the trap to add the bait.

We had a tiny mouse living in our garage. I saw these traps at Lowes and decided to give them a try--especially because they were "no see" traps. I am very squeamish about anything that "scurries" (mice, roaches, etc.). Yesterday I set up two traps about 8 feet apart after filling the bait traps with peanut butter. This morning, one of the traps indicated it had caught the mouse! I could see the tiny tip of a tail sticking out through the inner trap door. Tossed it in the trash--problem quickly solved! I'll keep the other trap out there to catch any future residents! Thank you Tomcat! (Posted over a month ago)

We live in the country and have mice both in the house and outside. I did not want to use poison around the grandkids and dogs. We use regular traps and glue traps in the house, which work well and are cheaper. Saw these and thought they would be perfect for outside around the dogs. First one would not set. Second one set and in a couple of days, caught one. As soon as we go back to the store, I will be buying more. (Posted over a month ago)

I bought this at a local Walgreens store as i saw droppings and actually saw a mouse moving around. I could not go to sleep and immediately went to the store. I bought 2 pack for a total of 4 traps. I used peanut butter as bait and the first night it caught one and when i came home from work and checked the other 3, two of them was successful in killing the mouse. I am very squimish and my hair stands just thinking of a rodent. Gaaah! All i had to do was throw the whole trap in a plastic bag and that was it. I will buy at least 2 more packs if not more. Very reliable product. (Posted over a month ago)

I have had good luck with these. I use peanut butter. On rare occasion I have a little trouble getting the trap to latch at the bottom and would like to know how to do that better. Overall, however, I like the fact the mouse goes in and the trap lets me know he has been caught. I don't have to see him or hear him or deal with him in any way. Also there is a little handle so I can simply pick up the trap without touching anything and toss it into the trash at the curb. (Posted over a month ago)

Within 10 minutes, my wife and I both heard "snap!" Thought, no way. Looked under the sink and sure enough, the little bugger was in there. So I moved the other one to the previous location. Checked on it in the morning - two for two!! Will certainly buy at least a couple more to see if there are any others. Been using these for years with success. Last batch I purchased (6) would not snap shut no matter what I tried. This is the second batch in as many years that wouldn't work. You need to review the manufacture of the "hook" on the bottom. It grabs the platform and won't let go. We have always purchased these traps to put in the basement. Have always worked well....until the last 2 sets we purchased. Looks like they have changed the production of these traps. Used to be a red handle to set the trap..........now it is black and a little different. Also the "spring" part itself does no move as free. Just put 2 of these out last night..........mice were able to eat all of the peanut butter out of the trap, and the "spring" never released, so never caught the mice. This has happened with the last 4 we have used. It's much harder to set them and get them to "click" than the previous version. I will be looking for another type at this point rather than wasting my money. :( (Posted over a month ago)

I think the mice are not big enough to set off the trap. The mice didn't set off the traps but I did when I barely touched it with a plastic knife. We stopped using the traps. Apparently, with these traps,we were just feeding them. We were so fed up that we just threw them away. Should have asked for money back. (Posted over a month ago)

I baited 2 of them with peanut butter. Within 1 hour, I had already caught one. The other trap the dog got a hold of and tore it up to get the peanut butter. I will be buying a couple more packs tomorrow. Just in case I have more mice. (Posted over a month ago)

I can't believe people have problems with this trap. So far I have used 8 of these over the last year or so, and have caught 8 mice.I will go out today and get more so I have them over the colder winter months when mice really want to come in out of the cold.My wife told me yesterday that she thought she saw a mouse near the pantry, we had 2 of these traps so I set them in the morning, by afternoon the mouse and his buddy we caught. I have used the same style trap by Dcon which worked. The mice went into the trap, ate the peanut butter and left. We kept baiting the traps and in the morning the bait was gone. We caught 1 mouse, which I took out and released, and killed 1. We had removed any bagged or boxed food from counters etc. so there was no food except for the bait in the traps. This went on for over 3 weeks. The mice didn't set off the traps but I did when I barely touched it with a plastic knife. We stopped using the traps and the mice have gone. Apparently, with these traps,we were just feeding them. We were so fed up that we just threw them away. Should have asked for money back. (Posted over a month ago)

Two cats have not deterred the fall infestation of mice. The trap is easy to use and it lets you know that something has been caught. The only thing that is visible is the tail. Using p'nut butter as bait. This is the first trap that I have used that works. Easy disposal. A little pricy, but safe around pets. (Posted over a month ago)

Poor design. The retainer should be spring steel which clips to the body. The rocking of the pressure plate should displace the retainer. At manufacture, the shape and direction of the retainer can vary greatly if just a plastic extension, and may not hold the main plate in place, may not even line up.Quality is what I might expect from the wall of an everything is a dollar store. My parents told me they bought the catch and release traps, but actually bought this one. I heard the snap this afternoon while I was eating my lunch. Curiosity got the best of me and I looked for the source of the sound to find this trap. I saw the tail of the little mouse sticking out of the opening. This trap definitely served it's purpose. If you're looking for a way to kill a mouse so you don't have to feel guilty when you see it's soulless eyes, then this is the trap for you. (Posted over a month ago)

I used this in my garage and I know it works. I don't see anymoreMICE. I have so many bait stations because I use this product and can't find the bags with only the bait. I get a lot of these little things that look like mini squirrels. I call them chippies, they don't look like mice, they run like mice and run into and up the drain pipes to the gutters looking for nuts that fall from the oak trees. I bought those screens that u pop in at the top hole in the gutters tokeep these little whatever they are out. They don't work because leaves accumulate and clog the drains. SO NOW I bUY TOMCAT. This is the only thing that works to keep them out of the drain pipes and gutters. Two yrs ago a salesman from LOWE's told me this would work and it did. (Posted over a month ago)

We had a house mouse that had taken up residence in a room we used for storage and couldn't catch the blasted thing, no matter what we tried. The sales guy at our local hardware store recommended this Tomcat disposable unit and we tried it, using peanut butter as bait (this was one of the suggestions on the box, instead of the Tomcat bait) and lo and behold, the lever on the trap snapped that creepy little rodent was bagged and tagged shortly thereafter. Great product, overall, and efficient to boot. (Posted over a month ago)

We set this trap with peanut butter. When we got up the next morning, there were feces at the entrance of the trap and bait was gone. This happened several days in a row. We ended up buying a round trap from dcon and caught the mouse the same day we set it. The only reason we haven't used the guarantee is we threw the information away. (Posted over a month ago)
